Robert Pois , Ph.D., is a professor of history at the University of Colorado. He received his Ph.D. in 1965 from the University of Wisconsin. He is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including being a Presidential Teaching Scholar in 1990 and receiving an Arts and Humanities Book Award in 1987. His books include The Great War, 1994; National Socialism and the Religion of Nature, 1986; The Bourgeois Democrats of Weimar Germany, 1976; and Friedrich Meinecke and German Politics in the Twentieth Century, 1972.
