Stephen G. Esrati a retired Cleveland journalist, was born in Berlin and arrived in Tel Aviv in 1933. He settled in Boston in 1937 and holds degrees in political science from Boston University. A veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea, he was also a member of the Irgun Zvai Leumi and was the first American hostage in Lebanon in 1948. He is the author of COMRADES, AVENGE US, a novel about capturing Nazi war criminals, which is available directly from him.
