Jeffrey EllisonChair, History DepartmentBernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School Mr. Ellison completed his doctorate in educational leadership in 2002 at Florida Atlantic University. The focus of his program and dissertation was in the field of Holocaust education. Currently, he lives in the Chicago area where he serves as the head of the social studies program at the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School. Additionally, he is a member of the 2006 leadership team for Facing History and Ourselves. He is blessed with two beautiful daughters. His current research interests are leading organizations and people in a global perspective. He has been called the global professor, having consulted with leaders in education and business in China, South America, Europe and Asia as well as in the United States. Dr. Pisapia brings over 23 years of administrative experience to his consultancies and writing. He has produced over 150 publications. Pisapia’s book, The Strategic Leader is forthcoming promises a new direction for leadership in the post modern condition. His work with the leader’s cognitive capabilities has received national and international attention through the American Association of Educational Research, and the International Leadership Association. His Strategic Thinking Questionnaire (STQ) measures the leader’s use of systems thinking, reframing and reflection. His Strategic Leadership Questionnaire (SLQ) measures the leader’s use of four sets of action in leading their organizations: managerial, transformational, political and ethical.
