IDEA presents papers from The History and Prevention of Genocide Symposium, held in Vienna Nov. 8-9, 2001, and convened by Professor Dr. Erich Loewy of the University of California-Davis. Its was sponsored by the Radio ORF 1, the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Culture and the University of California.

This was a multidisciplinary conference with presenters from many different disciplines: American Indian Studies; Anthropology ; Armenian Genocide Studies; History; Holocaust Studies, Jurisprudence; Philosophy; Public Health & Human Rights; Social Psychology; Sociology; Socio-ethics.
